IN GENERAL 

arm: most of android devices (OnePlus One, Nexus 6, Nexus 5, Lg G3 etc…)

arm64: devices with a 64bit android arm version (Nexus 9, Yu Yureka, Yu Yuphoria etc…)

x86: devices with an (Intel) x86 soc (Nexus Player, Zenphone devices etc…)

Check kernel version/cpu info

Another way using CPU-Z
ARMv7 and below are 32-bit architectures. 64-bit computing was introduced since ARMv8

AND IF AT ALL YOU DIDN’T GET IT STILL

If you have root access to your phone then

  1. Install terminal emulator in your android phone
  2. Open it and type “su” (without quotes), and when asked grant it administrative permission.
  3. Then you will see like “sh-xx #”, mind # at the last, it shows you have permissions.
  4. Now type “uname -m” (again without quotes). It will show you the architecture of your machine. It can be x86 : for 32 bit intel processor, x86_64 if intel 64 bit processor, and can be armvXX.

For arm processors : if output is armv8 or higher then your system is a 64 bit machine otherwise it is a 32 bit machine. Armv8 introduced 64 bit support. see reference : ARMv8-A Architecture
